A Fun Family & Maternity Photoshoot with Katelyn & Haikal at Upper Seletar Reservoir
I had the absolute pleasure of spending a delightful afternoon with Katelyn and her wonderful family a while back. Our photoshoot at Upper Seletar Reservoir was a perfect blend of laughter, love, and a bit of that beautiful baby bump magic. If you're looking for some inspiration for your own family or maternity photoshoot in Singapore, keep reading – this session was filled with candid moments, genuine smiles, and a whole lot of heart.
Upper Seletar Reservoir
We chose the picturesque Upper Seletar Reservoir for our session because it provides a serene backdrop of lush greenery and open skies. Katelyn's handsome little one was bursting with energy, which made for some incredibly fun and spontaneous shots. As a family photographer, I always aim to create a relaxed atmosphere where kids can be themselves, and this session was no exception.
Capturing the Candid Moments
One of my favourite aspects of family photography is capturing those unplanned, candid moments. Whether it was Katelyn's cute son playing with his dad, or the sweet, tender moments between Katelyn and Haikal, each shot told a story of love and connection. These candid photos are the ones you'll treasure forever because they encapsulate real, authentic emotions.
Maternity Magic
The focus of the session was of course, to commemorate Katelyn's beautiful baby bump. Despite the heat and humidity, the natural light at Upper Seletar Reservoir was just perfect, creating a soft and dreamy effect that complemented the warmth and joy radiating from Katelyn. For anyone considering a maternity photoshoot in Singapore, this session is a perfect example of how we can create timeless memories together.
From playful poses to heartfelt hugs, this photoshoot was really fun to shoot. It's not always easy to photograph young kids but we always manage to work around their personalities to make it work. Which is why we have so many hilarious photographs with Katelyn's son. Big kudos to Katelyn for putting up with the heat despite being so far ahead in her pregnancy and we ended up with such lovely pictures.
If you're planning a family or maternity photoshoot, my best advice is to relax, have fun, and let your personalities shine through – that's when the magic happens.
