Dyna's 1st Birthday | Upper Seletar Reservoie Floral Picnic Session

This was my 2nd session with Widya & Lyon and I love working with them so much! Widya is a such a charming lady and her creativity truly shines in these sessions. Every detail here has been curated and put together by herself and Lyon! I brought the balloons and rug but everything else was hers! I was so inspired by her creativity and I really like what we managed to create!

We decided a beautiful and calm green background would fit the theme best and went with the famed Upper Seletar Reservoir. Upper Seletar Reservoir is famous for it's lone Tree (which actually isn't alone at all but shhh!) set against the expansive backdrop of the reservoir. Other than the myriad of background options, Upper Seletar Reservoir is also a great photoshoot location when you have kids because not only is it close to civilisation, it also has a carpark and public toilet within it.

We discussed about cake options for Baby Dyna's cakesmash and decided something simple was good enough. And Baby Dyna didn't need any coaxing to approach the cake, she just dug in with nary a doubt and wouldn't stop eating! In fact I think she cried when we tried to stop her sugar ingestion hahaha .

Even though this was primarily Dyna's 1st birthday cakesmash session, it seemed like a waste not to get the rest of the family in. So we took some photographs of the family too. Widya and Lyon were mega prepared and busted out a bazooka gun which got little Dyan really excited. And I got to admit, I got really excited too because they created one of the best photographs of the session, like THE shot of the session! The photographer in me cried tears of excitement and knew I was going home happy!
