A beautiful Pre-Wed session of nostalgia and nature

Serene and Victor are truly a match made in heaven. Their engagement session was an absolute joy to capture, as they radiated so much love and affection towards one another. It was clear to see that they share a special bond, one that is built on a foundation of trust, respect, and admiration.

I had the chance to photograph them last December. Since Singapore is notorious for it's rainy Decembers, we tried our best to plan around the weather forecast. But the rain clouds never fails and we were met with a rainy morning. Thankfully the rainclouds were soon behind us and the ground was mostly dried by the time our session rolled around. This session ended up being one of my absolute favourite set and I'm so obsessed with it!

Their Alma Mater ...

Serene and Victor met and fell in love when they were in secondary school (how sweet is that!) . Henceforth, having their Alma Mater as one of their pre-wedding location was a non-negotiable. I definitely had a lot of fun getting to know this two lovebirds and enjoyed being back at this distant yet familiar environment. It feels amazing to know that after so many years, our classrooms still looked relatively similar. And in case you're wondering, no I didn't attend the same school but, don't those plastic navy tables and chairs just reminds you of school? It's like a blast from the past!

Upper Peirce Reservoir

For variety, it was decided the 2nd location would be a out in nature. Upper Peirce Reservoir was selected.

Once we alighted from the car, we were greeted with the most amazing and magical orange glow. The light danced on the water while the trees swayed in the gentle breeze. The soft light lit everything up so beautifully it truly felt like we were in a gentle and blissful dream. I truly felt like we were being blessed by Nature itself .

The beautiful place and light made battling with the ferocious monkeys a worthwhile trade.

Yes, the monkeys in the park were entirely fearless. Not only did they managed to break into my zipped backpack despite the lack of food within it, they even managed to drag my umbrella out and chewed through it. Friendly park go-ers had to alert us to their daylight robberies multiple times. We even had a standoff with the monkeys which we sadly lost hahaha.

Serene and Victor are the epitome of sweet, cute, and nice, and it was an honour to work with such a wonderful couple. Their love story is truly inspiring, and I have no doubt that they will continue to thrive as they embark on this new chapter together. Congratulations, Serene and Victor, you two are simply amazing!
